The third member of Samsung's upcoming Galaxy A smartphones series has appeared on GFXBench. The Galaxy A7 is listed as having a 5.2-inch 1080p Full HD display, 64-bit octa-core processor, and more.

Samsung just launched its highly anticipated Galaxy Note 4 phablet and this time around, the company's flagship phablet isn't the only player in the game. Samsung has watched Apple and Google both introduce their first phablets: the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus and 5.9-inch Motorola-built Nexus 6.

Apple's first entry into the phablet arena has already proven to be a major success and the device remains sold out on Apple's online store and in limited supply from carriers and retailers. Google hasn't shipped its 5.9-inch Nexus 6 but the phablet has already appeared in online benchmarks, where it outperformed the iPhone 6, HTC One M8 and Samsung Galaxy S5.

While the Galaxy Note 4 is addressing the high-end smartphone market, Samsung is well on its way to shake things up in the mid-range tier. The Galaxy A series will consist of three smartphones with varying specs and display sizes. The Galaxy A3 recently received FCC approval and a press render of the Galaxy A5 was leaked online. The third device in the series, the Galaxy A7 has just made an appearance on GFXBench and we now know what to expect.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 is listed by its model number SM-A700 and it will reportedly feature a 5.2-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD display and run Android 4.4.4 KitKat and Samsung's TouchWiz UI. The handset is powered by a 64-bit 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor and Adreno 405 GPU (graphics processing unit). The smartphone will include 16 GB of internal storage and 2 GB of RAM.

The Galaxy A7's camera capabilities will be made up of a 12 MP rear camera with LED flash and 1080p Full HD video recording and 2 MP front facing camera for video chat and selfies. The wireless connectivity options will include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.

Samsung is expected to make the Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 official in the very near future. As always, we'll be sure to keep you posted on all three smartphones as more information becomes available.
