With his ample knowledge and experience in video game development, it is understandable that he is one of the most sought after key players in the industry. As the new Kojima Productions president, Hirano will handle the creative team gearing each member to a common goal — to become the best in the world.

Change is inevitable and it is true in the video gaming realm, as Hirano's transfer is not the first of its kind. Other artists, designers, producers, and even personal assistants also moved to Kojima.

Kojima Productions is a former subsidiary of Konami, but it was later on launched to become an entirely independent studio. The controversial split between Hideo Kojima and Konami is one of the most talked-about in the industry.

Death Stranding

Kojima Productions is now working on Death Stranding and it is one of the latest video game by Hideo Kojima. The public has been anticipating the game since it was announced earlier this year. Norman Reedus (of "The Walking Dead") will be part of the game as a space prisoner.

Hideo Kojima sat down with Wired in order to promote the upcoming release of Death Stranding. Trailers for the new video game were also released. However, a lot of people claim that it is a bit difficult to understand yet. Kojima said that the game is about "connections" and in order to fully understand the concept, the public must wait for the full release.

"What people are playing today in open-world action games, or linear action games, it will compare naturally to them," Hideo Kojima, creator of Death Stranding said. "It will feel familiar. But after an hour or two of playing, you will start to feel something different, something new that you haven't played," Kojima added.

Seemingly a science fiction game, some already speculated that the plot may even tackle black holes. Despite alleged leaks earlier this year in July, Kojima managed to keep Death Stranding under wraps.

There are no definite information as to when the game will roll out, but the anticipation is rising by the day as Kojima claims this will usher in the future of gaming.
