Apple rolled out the iOS 10.2.1 update on Jan. 23 which brings new features users' way. However, fans who have been waiting for the jailbreak of iOS 10.2 are still clueless about its release.
PanGu, who is said to be working on a jailbreak tool for iOS 10.2, has apparently delayed its release.
Why The Delay iOS 10.2?
The reason behind the delay is not clear but it is believed that the constant flow of patches from Apple may be creating issues for the iOS 10.2 jailbreak's release.
Another school of thought is that team PanGu is biding time, as it is patiently waiting for the company to out a more stable version of iOS 10.
Reports have alleged that PanGu carried out a demo on the latest firmware vulnerability, which hinted that the team was working on an iOS 10.2.1 jailbreak tool. The team is apparently working on fixing the loopholes before outing a stable version to the public.
Currently, the team is offering the iOS 9.3 jailbreak tool on its website, which is deemed the best available option for bypassing the Apple OS.
What Jailbreak Tool Is Available For iOS 10?
Presently, the only iOS 10 jailbreak tool at people's disposal is the one from Luca Todesco — the Yalu iOS 10 jailbreak. This tool is effective on 64-bit devices that run on iOS 10 to iOS 10.1.1. However, it is currently in early beta testing and may not be completely stable.
The Yalu iOS 10 jailbreak tool is compatible with the following devices:
iPhone 6s Plus
iPhone 7 Plus
The iPhone SE (which deploy TMSC processors) can also be altered thanks to this tool. It is expected that the older iPhone 5s and iPhone 6 will also follow suit.
iOS 10.2 Jailbreak - When Will It Release?
Team PanGu has promised a jailbreak tool for iOS 10 but with so many delays, users are getting impatient. However, people are optimistic that PanGu will have a stable tool to offer users soon.
Stefan Esser, a notable iOS hacker and security expert, has also revealed that he will be outing a jailbreak tool for iOS 10.2 soon, which is expected to roll out in the coming days. Esser also indicated that the impending jailbreak tool will take care of the problems that came with iOS 10.1.1.
Jailbreak enthusiasts would also be hoping that Todesco is quick to roll out the final build of the Yula iOS 10 jailbreak soon. Todesco has claimed that the beta version of the tool is not effective on the iPhone 7 but enthusiasts would be hoping that the jailbreak works effectively on other iDevices.
