Not only is Benedict Cumberbatch the object of many a fangirl's affections, but he has also carved out quite a nice acting career for himself. The guy has portrayed everyone from the greatest fictional detective of all time to the classic Star Trek villain Khan to real-life rebel Julian Assange. Is there anyone Cumberbatch can't play?

Of course, the whole point of acting is to embody a character who is not yourself. And it turns out, Cumberbatch is much better at doing that than we may already give him credit for.

The British actor sat down with MTV's Josh Horowitz recently to discuss his new film The Imitation Game. Although that movie has nothing to do with mimicking other people (it's actually about Alan Turing's experience cracking the German Enigma code during World War II), that doesn't mean we can't see Cumberbatch attempt a few impressions, does it?

Cumberbatch did just that, and with very surprising results. In only one minute, he impersonated 11 celebrities, which included Taylor Swift, Matthew McConaughey and Christopher Walken. The impressions come in rapid-fire fashion, and much to my surprise, they're actually pretty spot on. He even does a wonderful imitation of his mate Tom Hiddleston, which I think warmed the entire Internet's heart.

Cumberbatch's impressions of Alan Rickman, Michael Caine and Bane from The Dark Knight Rises are probably the best. On the other hand, his imitations of Swift and Walken could definitely use some work. It's less embarrassing than his pronunciation of the word "penguin," though!

However, this isn't actually the first time Cumberbatch has wowed us with this talent. He has a knack for impressions and seems to genuinely enjoy it, taking on Rickman, David Tennant and Chewbacca the Wookiee in the past. How someone with such a distinct voice is able to impersonate such a wide variety of people, I'll never know.
