We still have a few days left of waiting before Super Smash Bros. is officially released for Wii U on Nov. 21. But in case you want a new way to play this beloved Nintendo game now, the Internet has you covered.

A user named Hayleia has created and uploaded a version of Super Smash Bros. to be played on a Texas Instruments graphing calculator. You know, the ones you used in your high school calculus class? Well apparently these devices can be used for bigger and better things than just graphing parabolas, finding x-intercepts and doing some major number crunching.

Hayleia uploaded the graphing calculator version of Super Smash Bros., called Smash Bros. Open on Aug. 22, 2014 to a forum thread on the programming and music creation website Omnimaga. Now thanks to a short write-up on the blog Tiny Cartridge and later Kotaku, the game is catching fire on the Internet, probably because we need something to quench our thirst for a new Super Smash Bros. game. The newest console version of Super Smash Bros. was released on Oct. 3, 2014 for the Nintendo 3DS.

Whatever the reason, we're all glad this little gem came into our lives. Since it's on a graphing calculator, you're not going to get all the bells and whistles of a Super Smash Bros. console game, but the novelty of it is still pretty cool. In the current version of the game, you can only play as Fox and Falco from the Star Fox series. The game is available in solo and mulitplayer modes.

Check out some GIFs of the game in action below.

However, if you don't like what you see, you can always tweak the source code a bit, because it is open source. You can download it from Hayleia's Omnimaga forum post and import it to a compatible TI-83 or TI-84 calculator through USB.

The Wii U version of Super Smash Bros. will hit stores Nov. 21, but it's already available for pre-load. Nintendo says advance orders for Super Smash Bros. is already "at a record," and the company is hoping that the popular title will help increase sales of the console around the holidays.

We'll have to wait and see what impact Super Smash Bros. has on the Wii U, but until then, we've got some calculating to do.
