Dodge unveiled its 2018 Challenger SRT Demon during the New York Auto Show in April. At the venue, the company announced the features of the car and also stated that it would be the most powerful muscle car in the world. However, pricing details were not elaborated at the time.

The carmaker has finally announced exactly how much the Demon would cost customers. It also revealed a variety of options and colors in which it would be available.

2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon Price

The Demon will retail for $84,995 in the United States. This cost would include the $1,700 Gas Guzzler Tax, but owners would have to pay the $1,095 destination fee. By comparison, the 2017 Dodge Challenger Hellcat retailed at $64,195.

The latest Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R sets owners back by $63,645. The Camaro ZL1, on the other hand starts at just $61,140.

However, the 2018 Dodge Demon features an 840 horsepower engine, which enables it to go from speeds of 0 to 60 mph in just 2.3 seconds. None of the other cars mentioned above are able to deliver such high horsepower and this may be why the higher price tag is justified.

Dodge Challenge SRT Demon Options

Apart from the price, Dodge also revealed some options from which users would be able to choose if they so wish to. The most important among them is the front and back passenger seat addition option.

Owners of the Demon can pay just $1 extra for the front passenger seat and/or rear passenger seats, as Dodge will retail the vehicle with just the driver's seat. For $1, users can also get the Demon Crate which includes skinny front tires for racing, an impact range and jack, and a performance control module that can bump-up the horsepower to the promised 840. Dodge claims that the original price of this Demon Crate is around $6,140

Other options include cooled leather driving seats with heated steering wheels for $1,595. Harman Kardon speakers for the stereo cost $995. However, users who want both the cooled leather seat along with the Harmon Kardon speakers can get the combined package for $2,495. Owners opting for the graphics package will have to pay an additional $3,495.

The most expensive option includes a sunroof for $4,995, which most users may not want to opt for, as it messes up the Demon's design.

The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon will be available in 15 distinct hues. The choices include popular color schemes such as TorRed, Yellow Jacket, and Plum Crazy.

Owners of the vehicle will also get free full-day training at the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving, which will come in handy while driving the default 807 horsepower, 717-pound-feet of torque-exerting muscle car.

Currently Dodge plans to ship 3,000 units of the Demon in the United States and just 300 in Canada by end 2017.
