We already know a number of the heroes and villains that will be appearing in Zack Snyder's upcoming Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. On the hero side will be Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Aquaman and potentially more. Less is known about which villains will appear in the film aside from Superman nemesis Lex Luthor, but a new rumor points towards two additional baddies appearing in the film that will serve as the launch pad for the DC cinematic universe.

Possible spoilers ahead! Turn back now!

According to Badass Digest, Doomsday will make an appearance in the film. Yes, that Doomsday, the intergalactic being that killed Superman during the '90s. Sort of.

The website doesn't dive into any more details about the character's appearance, but does shine more light on the overall plot of the film and what might be an easter egg for savvy comic readers.

Supposedly, Lex Luthor's agenda in Batman v. Superman involves keeping a close eye on all "metahumans," and he has agents that help him do so. One of those agents is a man by the name of Anatoli Knyazev. Batman fans will know that Anatoli Knyazev is the real name of augmented KGB-agent-turned-supervillain KGBeast, who first appeared in 1988. After being defeated by Batman and losing his hand in the process, KGBeast replaces it with a stereotypical bad-guy laser gun. By the way, is KGBeast not the best super villain name ever?

Badass Digest says the gun hand version of KGBeast won't appear in the film, but could appear down the line as the cinematic universe moves forward. The website also notes that the Joker is a known entity in the world of Batman v. Superman, but that he won't be appearing in the film either. The next time we will see the Joker on screen will be in 2016's Suicide Squad, where Jared Leto will play the character alongside other A-list actors turned supervillains like Will Smith, Tom Hardy, Margot Robbie and others. Jesse Eisenburg is rumored to also be appearing in Suicide Squad, which would link the two films together.

Let the wild speculation begin!
