There's something, a couple of things, in fact, that might finally convince players that Resident Evil: Revelations 1 and 2 for the Nintendo Switch are the best ports to get: exclusive minigames.

Capcom has just revealed new footage showing off Ghost Ship Panic and Ghouls 'n Homunculi, two exclusive retro-themed minigames that'll come bundled with the Switch versions of Resident Evil: Revelations 1 and 2 once they're released in Nov. 28.

Resident Evil: Revelations Ghost Ship Panic Minigame

Ghost Ship Panic is the minigame included in Resident Evil: Revelations, with players tasked to shoot enemies that'll fall down the screen at regular intervals. This appears to be a run-of-the-mill shoot 'em up title that ends when the player finally screws up and caves in to the onslaught of enemies.

The gameplay is scored with frenzied but nostalgic 8-bit music, and to top it all off, there are sound effects that really give off this purposely shoddy vibe, reminiscent of classic shoot 'em ups in the olden days.

On the other hand, Ghouls 'n Homunculi is the minigame included in Resident Evil: Revelations 2, in which Barry Burton explores a haunted island and defeats enemies that crawl therein. In this sidescrolling shoot 'em up, players can throw knives, use a gun to shoot, and even douse enemies in a lethal fire with the Firebomb Bottle weapon.

As Twinfinite notes, these games are totally optional and are not necessary to enjoy Resident Evil: Revelations 1 and 2, although "BP" points earned in these minigames can be used in the games' Raid Modes, which Twinfinite claims are extremely fun.

Keep in mind that these minigames are absolutely absent on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of Resident Evil: Revelations 1 and 2, both of which are already available. Switch owners have to wait until Nov. 28 to buy these remastered titles, but at least they get two minigames as exclusive bonuses. Pretty rad.

Resident Evil: Revelations 1 and 2 are remastered versions of Resident Evil: Revelations, released in 2012, and Resident Evil: Revelations 2, released in 2015. The first title follows protagonists Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield as they attempt to uncover a conspiracy, and the second title focuses on series veterans Claire Redfield and Burton, who are joined by Natalia Korda, a girl with supernatural powers, and Moira, Burton's daughter.
