Still on the fence about the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL? Well, Verizon has an offer to help you decide — a trade-in deal, to be exact.

That said, you can get from 25 percent to 50 percent off the phones if you turn in an eligible device with your purchase.

How To Avail Yourself Of Verizon's Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL Deal

Once you've decided you're going ahead with one of Google's new handsets, all you need is at least one acceptable phone.

For the 50 percent discount, you're going to need an iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, Pixel, Pixel XL, LG G6, Moto Z Force, Moto Z2 Force, Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus, Galaxy S7, or Galaxy S7 edge.

This way, the Pixel 2's price will work out to $324.99 ($13.54 a month) for the 64 GB model and $374.99 ($15.62 a month) for the 128 GB one. Meanwhile, the Pixel 2 XL will be $424.99 ($17.71 a month) for the 64 GB variant and $474.99 ($19.79 a month) for the 128 GB one.

Sure, this doesn't sound like much if you're trading in, say, the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus, or the Moto Z2 Force. On the other hand, this is a deal worth considering if you have the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, Moto Z Force, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, or the original Pixel and Pixel XL, which are pretty much old phones nowadays.

In other words, it's recommended to think twice before taking the offer using relatively new phones, or put differently, the older the phone, the better the deal.

As for the rest, here are all the eligible phones for the 35 percent and 25 percent discounts:

35 Percent:

• iPhone 6

• iPhone 6 Plus

• HTC 10

• LG G5

• LG V20

• Moto Z Droid

• Moto Z Play

• Galaxy S6

• Galaxy S6 edge

• Galaxy S6 edge Plus

• Galaxy Note 5

That lets you save $227.50 ($9.48 a month) and $262.50 ($10.94 a month) for the 64 GB and 128 GB Pixel 2 respectively, and $297.50 ($12.40 a month) and $332.50 ($13.85 a month) for the 64 GB and 128 GB Pixel 2 XL.

25 Percent:

• iPhone SE

• HTC M9

• LG G4

• LG V10

• Moto Z Play

• Galaxy Note 4

• Galaxy Note Edge

• Galaxy S5

While the deal will shave off $162.50 ($6.77 a month) or $187.50 ($7.81 a month) for the 64 GB and 128 GB Pixel 2, it'll drop the prices of the 64 GB and 128 GB Pixel 2 XL by $212.50 ($8.50 a month) and $237.50 ($9.50 a month).

The Fine Print

Keep in mind that Verizon won't give you the discount right off the bat. It's going to apply it throughout 24 months on a plan, which also means it's going to lock you in to its network for a couple of years.

Now it's unclear until when Big Red will accept trade-ins for the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, so you better decide whether or not you're going to nab one quick.
