Apparently not content with the successful launches of the iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPad Air, Retina iPad mini or the Mac Pro, Apple CEO Tim Cook has promises all the employees of the company that Apple has "big plans" for 2014, indicating prouct launches that customers have been eagerly waiting for.

While the memo does not mention any particular product, one can only speculate of the iDevices that Apple may launch. Aside from a new iPhone or a bigger iPad, the attention of investors and market analysts are on the rumored Apple smartwatch, dubbed the iWatch, or the UHD Apple TV, or perhaps even an iGlass.

"We have a lot to look forward to in 2014, including some big plans that we think customers are going to love. I am extremely proud to stand alongside you as we put innovation to work serving humankind's deepest values and highest aspirations," Cook's email read.

Cook also recalled the accomplishments of the company in 2013 and other endeavours that pushed the brand closer to consumers.

"We extended our lead in the smartphone market with iPhone 5s; launched iOS 7, an extraordinarily ambitious project; released OS X Mavericks for free to our customers; introduced the iPad Air and the iPad mini with Retina display; and this week began shipping the Mac Pro from a manufacturing facility in Austin, Texas. We also marked our 50 billionth download on the App Store - a milestone no one could have predicted we would reach so quickly," the memo added.

Cook also mentioned the participation of the company to help the Global Fund that helps combat AIDS and other disease in Africa, and Apple's support for Red Cross that reached out to the victims of super typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

In November, there were reports that Apple is already working with display suppliers in Korea for a purported bigger version of the iPad. The upsized version of the tablet is said to sport a 12.9-inch display to rival Samsung's 10 and 13-inch tablets due for release in 2014.

Will Apple have a 'for him' and a 'for her' versions of iWatch, as reports want us to believe? Or will the company unveil an iPhone with a curved screen? The guessing game continues.
