After announcing the Arlo Security Light late last year, Netgear has finally set a release date for the wireless, motion-activated and weather-resistant LED lighting system.

Features

The Arlo Security Light, which is part of Netgear's Arlo Smart Home Security product line, is designed to keep intruders, thieves, and robbers at bay.

The LED security light system boasts a completely wireless design. The bridge and the lights are both free of power cords or wires, allowing the lights to be placed anywhere without any hassle. The light is also IP65-certified weather resistant, so if it is placed outdoors and it starts raining, users need not worry about the light's safety.

It has the ability to sync with any existing Arlo security cameras to illuminate potential outdoor threats. The motion-activated lights will switch on automatically when it detects movement, prompting the cameras to start recording.

Not only can users choose from a wide range of colors, but they can also adjust the size of the beam width and set the lights to flash in order to draw attention to suspicious activity or scare off intruders. This lighting effect can be triggered by motion detected by the Arlo Security Light or by one of the Arlo security cameras.

The Arlo Security Light also comes with Amazon Alexa integration, allowing users to control the light using simple voice commands.

Release Date And Pricing

The lights will be available for purchase on May 25, and Amazon has already started accepting preorders for the product in one, two, or three light packs.

Each pack comes with a kit, which includes the light, the mounting materials, and the bridge that helps increase the coverage area of the lights by extending the range of each light by about 30 meters. Amazon will also sell the light and bridge separately, and they're already available to preorder on the retailer's website.

A single light kit has been priced at $149, and every light adds on $100 to the price tag, which means that the two-light kit will cost $249.99, and the three-light kit retails for $349.

As far as the light and the bridge is concerned, the light costs $129.99 and the bridge $59.99 if purchased separately. However, the bridge and the light will require the main security light system to function, which means that if they're purchased separately, they won't work if one does not already have the Arlo Security Light system installed.
