EA and DICE spiced up the upcoming release of Battlefield V with the launch of an iconic trailer known as the Devastation of Rotterdam.

Battlefield V, which will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Oct. 19, portrayed the Luftwaffe bombing on Rotterdam during the war in 1940. It can be recalled that the bombing incident was an essential moment in the war which led the Dutch to surrender to the Germans.

Trailer Shows A Little Bit Of Everything

The trailer gave players a glimpse of almost everything as it displayed tanks that are ascending over the wreckage of a bombed-out city and a plethora of locales in the multiplayer. The video also featured a little look at the incoming battle royale mode.

Besides the above-mentioned characteristics, the video also shows intense explosions as well as battles inside and outside of small buildings and a view of a burning Rotterdam. The trailer likewise demonstrated a scene wherein a plane crashed into a train station in the Netherlands, which turned the splashy nation into a classical Battlefield V war zone.

The battle royale genre of Battlefield V which presents a PvP format also has the last man standing objective wherein the victor is the one who has survived the challenging environment and every other player. Battle royale mode has become increasingly popular with Fortnite and PlayerUnknown's Battleground leading it.

Comicbook notes that it is likely that a lot of game developers will look at the possibility of implementing the battle royale mode into their own games. Most video games in this field have certain circle or storm that are regularly declining, hence limiting the number of safe zones the player can use.

Battlefield Fosters Teamwork Among Players

Aside from its battle royale mode, Battlefield V also highlights the importance of working as a unit as players can achieve success in the game by effectively communicating with their team members. Rewards and incentives will be handed out to each player when they are playing as a team.

Prior to releasing the Devastation of Rotterdam, the last trailer made by EA for Battlefield V during the Xbox keynote event displayed the War Story campaign mode. Battlefield V is the sixth version of the Battlefield Series.

The Battlefield V which will be released a week after the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will headline in next week's Gamescom event. The Gamescom is scheduled from Aug. 21 to 25 in Cologne, Germany.
