Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare owners, who prefer to play as the sniper class, now have a new reason to keep playing after the Sledgehammer added a new gameplay mode specifically for snipers. The mode is called One Shot, and we suspect only the best sniper players can prevail here.

According to Sledgehammer via the Call of Duty blog, One Shot will feature reduced health, so expect a lot of one shot kills, hence the name. Each player will kick things off with the MORS railgun sniper rifle, a powerful weapon that can kill a player with a single shot from almost any distance.

"Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and we're proud to announce our new team based game mode called "One Shot" - available right now. We're also turning on Double XP this weekend (Friday, 12/26 9AM PST through Monday, 12/29 9AM PST) while playing in this new game mode. One Shot is a brand new snipers-only game mode with decreased health and highly specific classes. Each of the five classes has been custom designed by our development team and OpTic NaDeSHoT, to test the true sniper skill of Advanced Warfare in this new custom mode."

At this moment in time, we are not certain if players can choose other weapons, but we are certain that players can choose from 5 different classes, all with a different variant of the MORS rail gun sniper rifle.

The classes include Hard Scope, Zoomed, 4X, Ace, and Irons. Each class as we mentioned before will feature the same weapon, just with slight differences. Players should also bear in mind that they will not load out with a secondary weapon, so they should make their shots count.

Beginning today, players who take part in the new One Shot mode will have double XP, and this will be available right up until Monday morning. The double XP move should see a lot of players flooding to One Shot, but the question is, how many will remain when they find out how difficult this mode is.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. It is the first next generation title from Sledgehammer, and the first Call of Duty since Ghosts to get good reviews from both critics and players alike.
