After seeing him filming his movie First Man, Ryan Gosling's two adorable children thinks that he works as an astronaut.

In the new movie, Gosling portrays Neil Armstrong, the first man to set foot on the moon. Despite being one of the most well-known actors today, his daughters with his partner Eva Mendes, 2-year-old Amada Lee and 4-year-old Esmeralda Amada, believes that he is an astronaut after they saw him in costume during shooting.

Gosling As An Astronaut

"They came on this day where I was shooting a launch scene, so I was in the spacesuit and pretending to launch. I think they think I'm an astronaut now," shared Gosling during his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

He even said that his oldest pointed to the moon recently and confirmed that he works there.

Host Kimmel, also a father, jokingly advised the Blade Runner actor to always lie to his daughters. In an interview, Mendes confirmed that she and Gosling have not corrected their daughter's misunderstanding yet.

Notably, the 37-year-old was involved in issues surrounding First Man after he defended the omission of the American flag's planting on the moon. The actor said that he does not believe that Armstrong viewed himself as a hero for the country because of how humble he was.

First Man is directed by Damien Chazelle, the same creative mind behind another Gosling movie and Oscar hit La La Land. The movie opens on Oct 11.

Gosling's Interview With Kimmel

Aside from talking about his children, the actor also shared about his experience while he attended his mother's wedding in Italy. According to the actor, he did not have any role during the ceremony, and he just sat with other guests, including a number of wonderful Italian women who were older than him.

"And there was a lot of — during the service — these wonderful older Italian women just whispering to me about food," he stated.

In his best Italian accent, actor tried to imitate a woman who told him about the tortellini in the freezer. Another one even told him about the smoked mozzarella from Naples.
