Christmas is fast approaching and what better way to entertain both the children and kids-at-heart by calling the man in the North Pole, Santa Claus, via Google Home.

This season, Google is giving out some holiday tricks for everyone's entertainment. It is allowing St. Nick's fans to interact with the man himself through the Home device or Assistant.

Calling Santa Claus

"Hey Google, call Santa." Let the kids say this line and Google Home will work its magic of "connecting" the line. First, a dialing sound can be heard, pretty much like calling in the phone, followed by an answering elf, which will then transfer the call to the big guy.

Transfer? Yes, as Santa Claus is pretty busy with holiday preparations, specifically a rehearsal for a musical. Once connected with the ultimate gift-giver, he will ask help on the show he was readying for, dubbed as "Eflstock," by asking multiple choice questions.

Once the caller is done answering, Santa Claus then plays a song that incorporates the answers. For those who want visuals, it is also available on smart displays, which can keep the children entertained for a short time.

"As an adult in my 30s, I found the experience, which takes maybe 2 minutes, kind of fun and much more believable than anticipated," Emily Price of Lifehacker said of her experience.

Google Home's Santa Tracker

Meanwhile, if the kids are not interested in talking with the jolly old man but on when the gifts will arrive, Google Home can help them know where he is with the Santa Tracker. This feature also allows users to check where he's currently delivering gifts on Christmas Eve.

It can also be used to see how Santa's Christmas preparations are going so far or where he is in the North Pole before Dec. 25. All that's need to be done is to say the magic words: "Hey Google, bring up the Santa Tracker."

Kids can also tell Santa their wish list via Google Home by saying "Ok, Google, talk to Santa's hotline." Upon reaching the red-clad guy, callers should provide their name and admit whether they have been naughty or nice all throughout the year, followed by the things they want to receive.
