In its latest earnings report, Nintendo has revealed the top 10 best-selling Switch games as of Dec. 31, 2018.

Notably, five of the titles on the list have each sold more than 10 million copies.

Most Popular Switch Games

Sitting at the top is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which is confirmed to be the best-selling Switch game ever so far with 15.02 million copies sold. On an interesting note, Mario Kart 8 also tops the Wii U's list with 8.42 million copies sold, and Mario Kart 7 dominates the 3DS's with 18.11 million.

Next in line at number 2 is Super Mario Odyssey with 13.76 million copies and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with 12.08 million, which launched just a few weeks ago in December 2018. Needless to say, it's the fastest-selling Switch title this time around, with an availability of less than a month.

Now The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is at number 4, which was a launch title for the console. Meanwhile, combined sales of Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! place them at number 5.

Here's a breakdown of the list:

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: 15.02 million

Super Mario Odyssey: 13.76 million

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: 12.08 million

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild: 11.68 million

Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu / Pokemon: Let's Go, Eevee: 10 million

Splatoon 2: 8.27 million

Super Mario Party: 5.30 million

1-2-Switch: 2.86 million

Mario Tennis Aces: 2.53 million

Kirby Star Allies: 2.42 million

Other Notable Switch Games

Nintendo included only first-party games in the list, meaning other popular titles might have made the cut but were excluded from the rankings. What comes to mind are Diablo III and DOOM for the Switch, as well as Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition.

More than 32 million Switch units have been sold to date, making it the best-selling console of 2018. That's impressive considering that it's less than two years old.

In other related news, Nintendo is rumored to release a cheaper and smaller version of the Switch focused on portability. It's said that some features are getting cut from the console to bring down the total price.
