A new leak suggests that Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 is getting a big design change.

Several exclusive official-looking renders of Samsung's still-unannounced tablet courtesy of Android Headlines confirm a rear-mounted magnetic stylus and other exciting features for the device.

The report notes that Samsung will give its next flagship tablet the Galaxy Tab S6 moniker and not the Galaxy Tab S5. This is to avoid confusion with the company's already-available Galaxy Tab S5e.

Similar to Galaxy Tab S5e, however, the Galaxy Tab S6 will also come with a keyboard accessory that users can opt to buy separately.

A Big Design Change

Previously leaked real-life images initially suggested that the new tablet's design has a groove on the back that would house the S Pen. Now, the latest leak indicates that it may be true. This feature will also likely allow the tablet to wirelessly charge the S Pen given the tech firm's device-wide approach. It is also anticipated to be Bluetooth-enabled.

Seemingly, the company has also made some alterations to the S Pen design. It no longer has the metal ring that can be seen with the Galaxy Tab S4 S Pen, and this time, it has a top cap.

Rumored Specs, Features, And Release Date

The leaked images further confirm that Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 will feature a dual-camera setup on the back, a first for any Samsung tablet. It is placed on the side and right above the S Pen groove. If earlier reports are any indication, the newest model from the Tab S series will have a 13-megapixel main sensor and a 5-megapixel wide-angle sensor.

Unlike its predecessor, it is clearly seen that Galaxy Tab S6 won't have a headphone jack and has a metal-based build instead of glass. However, it still keeps some of the design of the Galaxy Tab S4. For example, it still has four speakers (two on top and two on the bottom), with the bottom two separated by a USB Type-C port.

Earlier reports stated that Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC and run on Android 9 Pie out of the box. It will come with a 10.5-inch display, 6 GB of RAM, and 128 GB storage, with an option to upgrade to 256 GB.

Samsung will likely launch the Galaxy Tab S6 with the Galaxy Note 10 on Aug. 7.
