A new iPad Pro is rumored to be released this year, and now a leak may have revealed what it could look like.

Apple has already announced a lot of new hardware at its September event, namely a trio of new iPhones, the Apple Watch Series 5, and the new 10.2-inch iPad that succeeds 2018's 9.7 incher. According to the rumor mill, it's not done yet. It's said to hold another event in October, where it's expected to unveil more products, including a new iPad Pro model.

2019 iPad Pro Leak

Sonny Dickson, known for being a reliable Apple leakster, claims to have gotten its hands on a physical mock-up of the 2019 iPad Pro's "final design."

The most noticeable feature here is the tablet's rear triple camera setup, similar to what the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max both have. This aligns with a Bloomberg report back in August that said the 11- and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models would get "similar upgrades to the iPhones" in 2019, including "upgraded cameras."

If the next-generation iPad Pro indeed gets the same photography prowess as the iPhone 11 Pro, then photographers can take high-quality pictures or record 4K-quality videos and edit them all on the same device.

Another interesting point here is that the mock-up's camera housing doesn't have a glass cover. Sonny Dickson speculates that there's a chance that the tablet could have "something unique," but it also says that it could just be a "minor omission," since it's only a mock-up, after all.

What Else To Expect From Apple's October Event

As mentioned earlier, Apple is rumored to hold an October event, and aside from the 2019 iPad Pro, it's expected to take the wraps off other hardware as well.

That said, the Cupertino brand is believed to announce new MacBook Pros and a Tile-like item tracker, and it could even give an update on its augmented reality glasses. On the software side of things, it could also dedicate a portion of the show to macOS Catalina, which is slated to be available in October.
