LoL fans have eagerly waited for Senna, Lucian's mother, to finally appear as a playable champion in Summoner's Rift. Announced during League of Legend's 10th anniversary, she finally becomes available to everyone when the 9.22 patch hits the live servers.

For those looking for a quick jump-start guide on the very versatile Senna, we've got you covered.

Senna: A Champion unlike any other

Senna's one of the few champions can do two different roles. While Riot has designated her a Marksman, she can also be played as a Support or even on the Top Lane. She's also the second champion (following Thresh) that cannot increase a stat by leveling up. This is due to her passive, Relic Cannon. However, her attacks do get a cool 20% AD damage as a bonus, and even deals a percentage of her target's movement speed as damage. This is balanced of by having a long attack frame windup, with it taking up 0.5 seconds compared to the usual 0.2 to 0.3 seconds.

Rune Builds: Where to start?

If you're looking to play and build Senna as a Marksman, the suggested route is to go with Precision as your primary and with Domination as your secondary. Picking up Fleet Footwork, Overheal, Legend: Bloodline and Coup de Grace as your Precision runes will give you a lot of survivability in fights. Eyeball Collection and Ultimate Hunter under Domination will allow you to snowball and scale well right into the late game.

For those who want to play Senna as a support, its recommended to go with Sorcery as your primary and Resolve as your secondary. For Sorcery, you'll want to pick up Summon Aery, Manaflow Band, Transcendence and Scorch. These will allow you to stay in your lane as long as possible. Bone Plating and Revitalize under Resolve also augment your already strong sustainability, allowing you to trade with the opposing champions on the bot lane easily.

Item Choices: What to pick up

As a Marksman, you'll be wanting to pick up as much damage as you can. Essence Reaver synergizes quite well with her skill Absolution, allowing you to get close or even exceeding the crit cap. You can also consider picking up a Duskblade of Draktharr for those pesky compositions with lots of shields and heals. If you want to be more daring and lethal, consider picking up a Youmuu's Ghostblade.

For those going the support route, you can never go wrong with the Ardent Censer. Any allied champion almost always appreciates extra attack speed and magic damage. Athene's Unholy Grail ups the burst healing done both Piercing Darkness and Dawning Shadow.

As Senna's such a high skill cap champion, its best to play with her yourself to get a better understanding of just how intensive and deep her playstyle can be.
