Several new sources of information have revealed themselves in the past few days, which point towards Take-Two Interactive working on a new game in the BioShock franchise.

A job listing was found on 2K's website for a position entitled "End Game Design Lead" for a position in Novato, California. The same location hosts both Hangar 13 and a supposedly new and secretive studio named 2K Parkside, which was reported to be developing a new BioShock game last year, according to Kotaku.

An experienced team to develop the next generation of Bioshock

Another post on Reddit seems to have leaked the possible heads of the supposed BioShock game. Hogarth de la Plante, a BioShock veteran who was Environment Lead on BioShock and Art Director on BioShock 2, serves as the overall Creative Director. Shawn Elliott, a Level Designer on BioShock Infinite and Arkane Studio's Prey, is the Lead Game Designer. Jeggrey Yohalem, Lead Writer on Far Cry 3, will pen the story as this BioShock's Lead writer.

On the technical side, Chris Hockabout, Doughlass Houserman, Nathan Cheever, and Matthew Vitalone are the Lead Campaign Designer, Lead Systems Designer, Lead World Designer, and Lead Technical Artist, respectively. On the art side, Scott Sinclair, Freddie Lee, Stephen Rawlins, and Jim Ingraham are the Art Director, Principal Environment Artist, Animation Lead, and UX/UI designers respectively.

It's safe to say that this team is helmed by veterans in video game design and production. Between the leads, they have worked on games such as the original Bioshock trilogy, Far Cry 3, Telltale's Batman, Prey, Mafia III, Call of Duty WWIIOrcs Must Die! Unchained. Stephen Rawlins comes from the film industry, where his well-known work was as Animation Supervisor on Marvel's Captain America movie series.

Take Two's development plans

According to a report by GameRant, in an earning call for the second quarter of the financial year, Strauss Zelinick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, stated that the company is currently in its "strongest development pipeline in history."

Take-Two Interactive, which houses the 2K development studios and Rockstar Games, currently holds a plethora of franchises that they may be developing titles on. Rockstar Games recently released the critically acclaimed western Red Dead Redemption 2 last year on current generation consoles and this year on PC. It is heavily speculated that they are now working on the sequel to Grand Theft Auto V, the third best-selling video game of all time.

Hangar 13 is also a part of Take-Two interactive. The last notable title from the Novato, California-based studio is Mafia III. Their past few years have been spent assisting Gearbox Software in releasing remastered versions of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. It was reported in July 2018 that they were working on a new intellectual property or franchise. It is also possible that they are working on a sequel on Mafia, but no evidence so far has surfaced to say that they are going through that direction.

It is also unknown whether or not these titles are being developed for this gen or the next-gen Sony PS5 or Microsoft's Project Scarlett.
