Borderlands 3's first DLC, Moxxi's Heist is just about ready, are you? If you're not, then read on, as we're going to be setting a checklist for all the things you need to prepare, from your items, your DLC season pass, and your heart.

Moxxi's Heist of the Handsome Jackpot

If you haven't seen the 14 minute preview of Moxxi's Heist Gameplay, better do so now. We've been searching high and low to find what we're going to need to prepare for Moxxi's Heist, and the gameplay preview is a great sneak peek as to what to expect.

You're going to be engaging in a heist the abandoned space casino The Handsome Jackpot, once run by Handsome Jack, a casino, that was apparently Moxxi's idea in the first place. Now we already know from the video that you're going to face a lot of Hyperion Loader Bots, and if isn't obvious enough yet, you're going to have to stock up on your favorite Corrosive Weapons. Hyperion Loader Bots are weak in their joints as well as their optics, so disabling their limbs are great tactics against them. Ultimately, however, we still recommend corrosive weapons to deal with their armor.

You're also going to be facing a lot of human occupants of the casino, a group who calls themselves "Wildcards", and they're going to be armored too, so again, corrosive weapons.

New and Returning Loot

The return of Moxxi obviously means that Moxxi's guns will be returning, and that's exciting news from players who have been playing since Borderlands 2. A post on Reddit by user CREmACquesOM has revealed that the DLC will have at least 15 Legendary Weapons, including the Heart Breaker, Creamer, and Slow Hand. User CREmACquesOM also confirmed in the comments that Moxxi's weapons will have their beloved lifesteal effect just as they did back in Borderlands 2.

Moxxi's Heist Availability

Moxxi's Heist will be available tomorrow, Dec. 19, and we've been excited since its announcement last month. So far we've seen nothing but good news as Developer Gearbox and Publisher 2K has already been teasing three more new campaigns coming out next year.

The release tomorrow will be available for PC, PS4, and Xbox players, but Google Stadia players will have to wait until early next year. The Google Stadia launch will only include updates to the game released on or before Oct. 24, which means that not only will Moxxi's Heist be delayed, Stadia adopters will also not be getting the already released Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite.

Moxxi's Heist is included in the $49.99 premium DLC season pass, as well as the three more campaigns to be released next year. Now just make sure you've also finished at least episode 5 of the main campaign before tomorrow ends so you can get started immediately.

With that, you're all set for the Heist. And yes, heists are still cool, as much as Rick and Morty would like to make you think they're not.
