Huawei is set to release its improved edition of the Mate X folding smartphone in 2020, with a faster processor, better hinge, and tougher screen. In other words, this is a better version of the previous edition of Mate X. Richard Yu, Consumer Business Leader of Huawei, confirmed the details of the release. Relatively the company intends, as well, to bring the latest Mate X to Europe, apparently in the 1st quarter of 2020.

Huawei's Mate X only came out in November. Half of its foldable screen is flappable around back, so the user can have a screen on both sides when folded closed. The phone's design has made the Mate X one of the better choices during the launch year of its folding phones, since other brands such as Samsung's Galaxy Fold, as described by The Verge, "have had much more prominent hinges that create gaps or greases in the design."
Other than Huawei Mate X, Yu teases the new design for its P40, as well. In connection to this, the trend in a folding phone is ready for expansion in 2020, specifically with the entry of the new Razr of Motorola. Other firms like Samsung, for one, are expected to iterate on their designs, already existing with the hope of the delivery of somewhat more mature and polished products than the comprehensive and relatively delicate early units released this year.
The Next Flagship Phone of Huawei
Additionally, regarding the news on Mate X, some details about the next flagship phone of Huawei came out as well, and this is the P40. Tech reviewers say that this flagship unit will enhance its already-excellent image quality, not to mention, having better performance, as what we always expect from a new device. Although P40 has initially been introduced, Yu said, it will be officially announced in early 2020.
More notably, according to Yu, this next flagship phone is set to have a new and apparently new style and design. The said intended design and style leaked the other day showing, that both the P40 and P40 Pro are possible to look like, essentially, what is expected from a smartphone in 2020. 91mobiles and OnLeaks published mock-up designs exhibiting a "rectangular camera housing," much like the public are seeing on leaks of the soon-to-launch Samsung mobile devices.
