Blizzard drops the latest update for World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth, Patch 8.3 Visions of N'Zoth. Expect new allied races Vulpera and Mechagnomes, new boss raids and activities, Corrupted Gears, tons of wow classic gold, a new Legendary Cloak to upgrade, and so much more.

The narrative arc of the latest patch starts with the jailbreak of N'Zoth, the Great Corruptor from his prison under the sea. He seeks to engulf Azeroth into madness and horror, plunging the land into nightmares and hopelessness. As such, the ongoing Battle for Azeroth between the Horde and Alliance must set be aside. They must fight together to eliminate the greater evil.

This patch will serve as the closing story to the Battle of Azeroth expansion before the release of the upcoming Shadowlands expansion.

Battle of Azeroth: The Allied Races

This latest update is feature-packed, but the most exciting is the introduction of the new allied races. The Vulpera of the Horde and the Mechgnomes of the Alliance will join players in their quest to save Azeroth from the influence of the Old God N'Zoth.

Since their introduction last year, a lot of World of Warcraft players were hooked in the aesthetics of the Vulpera race and their interesting backstory. Their fox-like appearance and caravan hyenas garnered attention, and including them in the playable options serves as a temptation to fans who have been busy playing World of Warcraft Classic

To unlock the Vulpera race, players must first reach exalted in Voldunai, have the Secrets in the Sand Achievement by completing all major storylines in Vol'dun, and complete a series of quests to recruit the Vulpera.

On the other hand, the Mechagnomes, who seek a balance between flesh and steel, will also join the ranks of the Alliance. The bodies of this crafty race are made of metallic plates and screws. Their armors and transmog are customizable, making their looks unique and quirky.

There are two things players need to accomplish before unlocking the Mechagnome race. First, they must reach exalted with the Rustbolt Resistance. Lastly, they must earn the achievement in The Mechagonian Threat story by completing quests in Mechagon Island.

Visions of N'Zoth: Assaults and Horrific Visions

Aside from the new allied races, players can also enjoy new activities unique to the Visions of N'Zoth experience.

For example, players can carry out raids in corrupted versions of locations in Azeroth in the Assaults and Horrific Visions. During the Assaults, players must complete objectives by fighting N'Zoth's minions and defeating them, collecting and looting treasures, and participating in events. They can also take part in instanced challenges called Horrific Visions, wherein up to five players delve into a world of madness where their sanity is in a constant attack by corruption. Accomplishing these challenges will give players a chance to strengthen their defense and earn new tools.

Boss Raids in Ny'alotha, the Waking City

The final confrontation for the Battle for Azeroth takes place in Ny'alotha. This city, which used to be called the dreaming city, was the domain of the Black Empire where the Old Gods and their minions once roamed. Here, there will be twelve raid bosses to defeat, the last being N'Zoth himself.

To unlock boss raids, players must reach at least Level 120. The minimum average item level for Raid Finder, the lowest difficulty, is at 410. More information on the schedule of the unlocking of the boss raids can be found here.

Aside from the Allied Races, Assaults, Horrific Visions, and boss raids, players can expect a lot more features in the Visions of N'Zoth. The major highlights in the patch make up a compelling narrative arc worthy of closing the Battle for Azeroth expansion. Fans are guaranteed to be hooked on the unique activities, and before they know it, it'll be time for the release of the next expansion: Shadowlands.
