The WhatsApp Dark Mode feature will be available for beta trial before the release of its trial version.

Dark mode is a new feature that is becoming a trend in many messaging applications. It shifts the gray and green palettes to black, blue, and teal. Nonetheless, this new feature update will not totally replace the current design of the app. It remains available to those who refrain from using the updated feature.

How to Activate WhatsApp Dark Mode?

As the 'Dark Mode' for WhatsApp is released for beta trial, the release of its final version is nearing. Yet, this beta trial version will not be the exact version of the final Dark Mode feature for the app. Some colours with the update may still be changed before the official release of the function.

To update WhatsApp and obtain the 'Dark Mode' feature, the first step is to register for the beta trial. It can be done by accessing Google's Play Store app. The beta trial for iOS is already full.

The phone does not need to install the application again to get the beta version of the WhatsApp 'Dark mode feature. Upon the delivery of the app's update, the beta version of the function can then be received.

To determine the version of your application, long-press the application's icon and then select the 'App Info' button. To have the updated version, go to the Play Store App of Google and click the 'Update' button under WhatsApp.

To manually install the update, get the APK for the WhatsApp 2.20.13 version. It is the last option for those who did not see an 'Update' button under WhatsApp in the Play Store app.

After updating your phone, the next step is to restart the application. To reset the app, go to 'Settings'. Next, got to 'Chats.' Then, scroll and click the 'Theme' button. After pressing the 'Them' option, select between different modes from dark to light.

For Android 10 users, you can choose the 'System Default' option to make the entire phone coincide with the app. For earlier versions of Android, the phone automatically goes into 'Dark Mode' when the phone shifts to 'Battery Saver Mode.'

How will the WhatsApp Dark Mode Appear?

With the 'Dark Mode' feature in WhatsApp through beta trial shows a majority of dark gray accents with a bit of green and yellow for viewing status messages.

Based on the current beta release of the 'Dark Mode' feature, it can be seen that its final version may include two types of screens. Those screens with AMOLED screens and those with none.

Previous APKs suggests that the WhatsApp 'Dark Mode' may come in three different types. One of these designs includes a pure black background. The black-coloured part of the screens of AMOLED display is shut off. It means that it can help save the phone's power.

There are a lot of reasons to get the WhatsApp 'Dark Mode' feature for your phone. First, darker screen backgrounds help users to use their phone's screens for an extended period comfortably. Second, there is a lower amount of glare received when in 'Dark Mode'. Third, 'Dark Mode' consumes lesser energy.
