Torchlight is coming back in a big way! Torchlight Frontier is going to be named Torchlight III this summer on Steam.

The game comes back to its roots, hacking and slashing your way through endless hordes and the Diablo-like loot system in which in this case is very rewarding - going back to the linear progression and storyline long time Torchlight fans of the first and second entry to the Torchlight series. 

The return of the beloved pet

After picking your desired class to play with, you will have to choose your furry companion to accompany you in your grand adventure and help pick up the loot for your tired adventurer hands. Three pets are available on release, and they are a selection indeed, an alpaca, an owl and, a loyal canine retriever.

Full Game Features List

• Build and Upgrade Your Fort: Players will be able to renovate their very own fort from the ground up! This is the place where the player can upgrade gear, renovate the fort, build monuments of power, stables for your pets, and so much more!
• Travel the Frontier: Players can explore the vast maps available in the game with a party of friends or just with your beloved companion, use the ever so useful magical maps to enter unexplored dungeons and collect that loot to show off to the entire world or just be the completionist that you are.
• Relics are Awesome: These so-called Relics possess great powers and can and will be used by you the player, these are also craftable items, don't forget to level them up and stash it in your fort for safekeeping. Remember, each relic is key to victory by knowing what to use in a particular strategy, so it's best to collect and craft them all for a more diverse game style.
• Epic Gear: It may be weapons, armor, recipes, ember cores, dyes and what have you. Make sure to collect them all because you never know what you'd need each gear for especially if your party is in a pinch, it's best to be diverse. You can farm these gears in mobs and can also take a contract in-game to earn "Fame" a sort of digital currency as you will to unlock elite gear that only a few can get.
• Already Mentioned Pets Right: So as every Torchlight game has a companion, Torchlight lll is no different in this, and it's great. Pets will be able to assist you in battles as well as come with a myriad of styles and colors if you fancy. Upgrade them and give them skills to use to assist you in battle, also equipping gear to make them deal and take more damage.
• Build Your Hero: Four classes to select from. Players can use class-specific mechanics to be able to maximize their damage as well as odds of survivability. Equip your hero with the gear you prefer, Relic powers, customize your very own loadout to fit your own unique combat style.

What are Classes?

• The Railmaster - this is more of the tank, a powerful locomotive killing machine.
• The Forged - a powerful robot who has an array of weapons that will definitely wreak havoc among the enemies it faces
• The Dusk Mage - a character who focuses on the power of light and darkness to unleash devastating fury to all those he encounters
• A final class that is yet to be unveiled, but most probably will be a melee class, but that's just speculation so far
