Samsung has a new device to offer! Its latest laptop model called Samsung Galaxy Book S, is now on pre-order on its website, starting at the price of $999.

This device will start shipping on Feb. 13 and promised to have an ultra-thin, ultra-lightweight, and an impressive almost 24-hour battery life-- one of a kind feature for a laptop.

However, is the price worth its specs and design?

Samsung Galaxy Book S: all negative things you must know

According to a Mashable review of Galaxy Book S, though, the device does have a lot of positive specs to make you purchase it totally. There are also things that users must know about their boasted specs.

As mentioned by tech writer Raymond Wong, the Galaxy Book S does not have a 'unique' design behind it. If you're thinking about something new to expect its exterior design, you might be disappointed.

With its standard 13.3-inch touch screen and certainly thin size of 11.8 mm, Galaxy Book S seemed to be just an average looking ultra-thin and light laptop. Nothing unusual.

Wong also noticed that the keyboard installed on the laptop does not have that special look. He even described it as a 'cheap-looking keyboard' since it has a lot of mushiness when you press its keys. Though the touchscreen and trackpad "seemed fine."

The last major thing that he noticed on the device is that it looks 'unbalanced.' When the demo was shown, the laptop cannot be opened with one hand since the screen is heavier compared to the keyboard.

Despite all these, why should you purchase Samsung's newest Galaxy Book S? Here's why.

Though Samsung had been late to released Galaxy Book S to the public since it was first announced in August. The official pre-order is now available to the United States users.

Samsung's new laptop device has an extremely thin size and ultra-lightweight design that weighs only 0.96 kg. This is impressively lighter compared to Apple's lightest laptop MacBook Air with its 1.25 kilograms.

Though having a normal-size screen, this laptop has a 1080p resolution, a 10-point multi-touch screen, and runs Windows 10. To top all that, it also uses the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx chip, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage-- though it can expand storage by up to a 1TB using its microSD slot.

Samsung Galaxy Book S battery and LTE technology

If that can't push you to buy this laptop now, maybe its battery and LTE technology will force you to.

One of its boasted specs is having a 42Wh battery that said to lasts up to 25 hours of local video playback without having to charge it again.

However, that might be kind of challenging since the laptop is also equipped with LTE connection for users to connect to the internet even you're far away from nearby wifi spots.

Samsung will give out $100 gift cards for Samsung PCs, tablets, and accessories if you buy one now. More than this, customers of Microsoft Store and Verizon can also avail the pre-order on the same day, with Sprint opening it for Feb. 14 (Valentine's day).
