The Fallout 76 Update (also better known as the Wastelanders update) will be featuring more NPCs or non-player haracters when it is released this first quarter of 2020, possibly by Mar. 31.

This was the response of the video game developers, particularly Bethesda Game Studios creative director Todd Howard who had earlier pushed for the elimination of human NPCs in the previous Fallout 76 iteration.

The update will have more human NPCs since this was the request of many fans of Fallout 76 because human NPCs apparently add more charm to gameplay.

More dialogue with human NPCs

The human NPCs will be introducing missions and dialogue trees in Fallout 76 update. This is a considerable departure from the previous Fallout 76 that involved only interaction with robots recordings during the game itself.

Fans had also requested for additional private servers, which was granted by Bethesda Game Studios. This benefits Fallout players who seem devoted to acting out role-playing scenarios in the game itself.

Bethesda acknowledged that the Fallout 76 update is the most massive expansion for the game, ever.

Atomic Shop purchases to be adjusted by Bethesda

Due to complaints by individual players about how Atomic Shop purchases seem to give some players an unfair advantage over other players, the online store will be amended, particularly regarding the Challenge and reward system already in place.

(The Atomic Shop in the game sells in-game items paid for by players with real-time money). New game items will be offered through the Atomic Shop to make play more enjoyable.

Gist of Fallout 76: Wastelanders Update

The video game update is set in the state of West Virginia, with two different groups of players pitted against one another. One group has named the Settlers while the other group is dubbed the Raiders. The Settlers are only trying to make a new home and survive, but the Raiders are out to take advantage of the Settlers.

Fallout 76 will be given for free to players using the following devices on Apr. 7:

• PlayStation 4
• Xbox One
• PC (via Bethesda.net)

Fallout 76 owners need not worry about paying for the update because they can get it for free.

There will be two kinds of content bundles offered - one for the Settlers and one for the Raiders. The content of each bundle in the Fallout 76 update is as follows:
