Ash, Pikachu, and friends despatched Mewtwo packing two years ago. Now, the weirdo psychic pussycat is back for revenge-not on late-'90s moviegoers but on 21st-century Pokémon players. In celebration of Pokémon Day this weekend, Sword and Shield gamers are now at risk of surely having Dynamax Mewtwo in a doozy of a Max Raid Battle.

Many gamers on social media have described it as one of the toughest bouts in the game. Mewtwo suggests up at degree a hundred and has a bolstered health bar. You might want to group up with other players to get him despite positioning your best fighter forward. Mewtwo, even then, has been consistent in wiping the ground with even the selected groups of four.

If you manage to overcome him, you'll be rewarded with a treasure trove of unique items. Players online have reportedly earned the whole thing from Rare Candies to Ability Capsules to Big Nuggets. One aspect you won't get? A Mewtwo of your personal.

Joining a Mewtwo Max Raid isn't guaranteed; is it because of the bugs?

That's right: Unlike other Max Raid battles, you couldn't capture Mewtwo. What gives, The Pokémon Company? What's more, getting into a Mewtwo Max Raid in the first place isn't exactly guaranteed.

One Twitter user claimed it took 45 mins to get right into a battle. Some Pokémon Go trainers also attempted for almost an hour to join a battle but were met with various bugs. The bugs include unresponsive consoles, closed sessions, the maximum number of participants has been reached, no communication partner found, among others.

Rewards aren't mind-blowing also, except for one

Before you try finding a battle, though, you must ask yourself: What's the point? It's hard to have a battle, and the capacity rewards, even as rare, aren't mind-blowing. Rare Candies are sweet, but they offer only one stage-up. Ability Capsules are cool, too, but you could just get them on the Battle Tower. And in case you're at a high sufficient stage to tackle Dynamax Mewtwo, you almost actually have sufficient money that even a huge chunk of gold won't make a difference.

There's only one definitely rare prize you can get from beating Dynamax Mewtwo, and it's a functionally vain object known as Bragging Rights. Hey, if that's sufficient of a reason, you have until 6:59 A.M. EST on Sunday, March 1, to take down Dynamax Mewtwo and be part of the pantheon of Ash and company.

In addition to Max Raid Battles towards Mewtwo-who, again, you cannot capture-you'll have the ability to fight Max Raid Battles towards the original three starters and their second-level evolutions. And yes, you may catch those ones. You can get across an Ivysaur. You also can run right into a Dynamax Toxtricity, an electric/poison Pokémon with a near godlike Special Attack stat.
