CES 2015 hasn't even officially started yet, and already one of the biggest companies at this year's show has announced some new products you should be excited about this year.

At its CES 2015 press conference, Samsung announced a whole new line-up of products looking to change the way we watch TV, listen to music, eat and do our laundry.

Samsung is now getting into the virtual reality game with the introduction of Milk VR, available exclusively on Samsung's mobile VR platform Gear VR. This will allow you to stream 360-degree video. Samsung's entrance into VR is obviously a major win for the technology, and it could mean that we will be seeing more companies invest in it in the future. In addition to Milk VR, Samsung announced the expansion of Milk Music and Milk Video this year to the web and smart TVs, respectively.

Speaking of TV, Samsung had a lot of new products to offer in that area. The company unveiled its first SUHD (4K ultra high definition) TV, which expands upon its existing line of curved TVs. The 88-inch TV shown on stage at CES 2015 featured a nano-crystal semiconductor display. Its Quantum Color technology ups the color in the display 64 times more than conventional TVs and is two-and-a-half times brighter, according to Samsung.

All of Samsung's Smart TVs will now be powered by the Tizen operating system. This can allow you, among other things, to pause a video on your smartphone and then resume it later on your TV.

Samsung also announced a few new products in the lifestyle sector. The company has expanded its Chef Collection to include a new app that has recipes and tips from expert chefs. It will be available for free from Google Play starting in February. There's also a tablet made specifically for Samsung's Chef Collection.

One of the last highlights of the press conference was the introduction of Activ Wash+ technology for Samsung washing machines. Samsung's new top-load washer includes a built-in sink with a water jet and scrubber and Super Speed technology to cut down wash time for a normal load to 36 minutes. Even if you don't think about laundry that much, this sounds pretty cool.

Samsung's press conference shows that the Internet of Things is clearly alive and well at CES.
