First, you have to know the sweet spots

Assault Rifles are very powerful weapons, and they deal a ton of damage, especially with headshots. It would be best if you always aimed for the enemy's head no matter how hard or impossible it may seem since they are crucial to killing other players in-game. Always go for clicking heads as ARs are generally precise. If you can actually master this technique, you'll be the game's kill leader and champions of the arena in no time and always look out for recoils as you try to pop their helmets, though.

You have to adapt for CQB or Close Quarter Combat

Even though Assault Rifles can pretty much destroy enemies when used right, it pretty much ineffective when it comes to CQB compared to shotguns and SMGs, but don't worry. There are tips and tricks on how to make the most out of the ARs even when in close combat.

You can always confide on pre-firing when you feel like there are enemies bound to appear. For short-range, however, CQB is inevitable.

Diversity

Each weapon in this class has its pros and cons, but generally, Assualt Rifles fits with every kind of player. You can practice some ARs at the range, and when you have tried them all and weighed it all in, you can pick your favorite and stick to that with ease.

Semi-Sniper

Sniper rifles have always been a key to getting victories when it comes to long-range situations. The G7 Scout is a light sniper rifle, but in Season 4, Apex has made some changes. If you played the game when it was first released, you would know that G7 Scouts were considered as a sniper rifle, but now belongs to the assault rifle class which makes a lot of sense.

Very Low Energy

These Energy ARs have gone downhill ever since it was released and have been desperately tweaked and a handful of times. The only notable energy weapon is the Havoc, and even that can be pretty useless without its attachment that Apex has removed. Because of that, the recoil is just a pure mess.

A Beast with three horns

What makes the Hemlock a killer is that it suits both close and long-range combat. Since it is a three-shot burst, it is best used with a 2x scope, and it can be very devastating.

Anvil Receiver is the best medicine

The best ARs in the game are hands down R-301 and Flatline, which are both wonderfully made and are full-automatic rifles. With the help of the Anvil Reciever attachment, damage can be greatly increased, which makes it a beast against enemies.

Cannon Ball

The Flatline can be a little tricky d, but it is commonly known as a very powerful assault rifle in the game. Always remember that this AR is not the best in accuracy and is useless for long-range.

Picture Perfect

The R-301 is the crowd favorite as it is considered as a perfect assault rife in every aspect and has the most precise auto-fire in the class. Attachments are the key and will make this AR unstoppable.

Baby Steps

If this is your first time jumping on the Apex Legends arena, the best advice anyone can give you is that Assualt Rifles are the way to go and are the best first choice and start from there while you work your way up to different classes.
