The newest addition to the Lenovo Legion series is not a pc, but a gaming smartphone that is believed will launch soon, especially when a render of the latest gaming phone from the brand has been leaked and is now circulating online.

According to a report by BGR, the render suggests the inclusion of a few gaming accessories, including two controllers with an analog stick and some buttons that should slide into the case, which is also included in the bundle.

Additionally, there also seems to be a headcase included with the Legion brand, but it's not clear yet.

Besides the render, a few speculations about the gaming phone have previously been teased, saying that the gaming phone will run on a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC and will also support 5G and 55W charging.

Some rumors and leaks also suggest that the Lenovo Legion smartphone will have a UFS 3.0 or 3.1 storage along with a LPDDR5 memory.

Rumors on Specs

Fans can also expect a high refresh rate, especially since it's a gaming phone and will be competing with the likes of ASUS ROG, Razer, and Nubia Red Magic gaming phones so that fans would want nothing but the best.

Lenovo enthusiasts are expecting a refresh rate of 120Hz or at least 90Hz.

As of now, the company hasn't released any official announcement about when the phone would be released and its specs.

Perhaps more interesting is that the company teased that it will have a score of 600,000 on AnTuTu, as per GSMArena.com.

If the tease is indeed true, it will have the highest score on the benchmarking app.

Challenging Nubia Red Magic

It seems like the company is directly challenging one of its competitors, Nubia Red Magic, with a new tagline they have released alongside the usual "Stronger than strong."

The new tagline plays with the competitor's name, saying "No Red, It's Magic."

In addition, Lenovo has teased that their newest smartphone will be "cooler" than the RedMagic gaming phone, pertaining to a better cooling system that guarantees it does not overheat with hours of playing games.

RedMagic 5G Smartphone Released

Nubia has recently released its RedMagic 5G gaming smartphone in China, based on a report by NDTV, and it has the highest refresh rate for any smartphone with 144Hz.

The Nubia RedMagic gaming phone comes in four variants with different RAM and storage options: 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, 12GB RAM with 128GB storage, 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, and lastly a 16GB RAM RAM with 256GB storage model.

There are also three color variants from Mars Red, Hacker Black, and Cyber Neon, plus a transparent edition.

It runs on Android 10 with a Red Magic OS and is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 865 SoC with a custom Adreno 650 GPU.

According to the company's Weibo page, the RedMagic 5G smartphone will be officially released in China on March 19 but is currently available for pre-sale with a deposit of CNY 100 (US$14) on the Jingdong Mall.

However, there is still no word on when it will be available worldwide.
