The most important rule of all best friendships - You must solemnly swear that you are up to no good. Or in the case of Katie's (aka SoButtons) best friend, so right!

Apparently, Katie's husband had a habit of forgetting her birthday. So her best friend threw her a surprise for her 28th birthday last Tuesday that neither she nor her husband would ever forget - she transformed their entire apartment into Hogwarts and other locales from the wizarding world of Harry Potter.

Katie's BFF left no detail untouched. From the gold coins found at Gringotts Bank, to Moaning Myrtle in the bathroom, floating candles, flying envelopes containing acceptance letters into Hogwarts, and even tickets and entry to Platform 9 and 3/4.

As shown in the photos that Katie uploaded, her bestie also printed out quotes from the books, photos from the films, and even had life size cut-outs of Harry guarding her staircase (which, by the way, likes to change, just like the ever-shifting staircases at Hogwarts.

Partygoers to Katie's Hogwarts themed surprise party could also don round spectacles like Harry's and eat jelly beans from jars filled with Bertie Bott's Every Flavored Beans. We hope nobody was unfortunate enough to pick up the ear wax flavored bean though.

Another touch we were particularly tickled by, were the owls drawn onto each helium-filled balloon. Even the family pets got in on the action with a perplexed black cat posing for an Azkaban prison mug shot, and a Rottweiler keeping watch over the fireplace and all the letters seemingly flying out of it.

The party was topped off with an adorably misspelled chocolate cake. Perhaps lovingly prepared by Hagrid himself?

Although Katie says that her husband had already forgotten her birthday three out of the five years of their marriage, this is one birthday that he's sure to remember, along with all the other Harry Potter fans of the internet.

Happee Birthdae, Katie!
