On Friday, Mar. 27, Apple finally releases its newly-created software app called COVID-19 Screening Tool. This tool is in partnership and developed alongside the White House, United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

The tool is simple. Just visit the website of Apple or through an iOS app and simply click 'start screening.' The device will guide you to its 'Terms of Use' page. As said, the app will not share your info with Apple or CDC without your approval.

"Apple will collect certain limited information to help Apple improve the COVID-19 website. This will not include any data that may personally identify you and will not be tied to your Apple ID," said on the Terms of Use page. "Unless you provide your express consent within the COVID-19 Website, no other information will be collected or used by Apple, and your information will not be shared outside Apple."

After reading this, you can choose to use it for yourself or use it for someone else. Apple screening tool then asks you whether you're already feeling symptoms during the test. If yes, website advises you to call 911 immediately. If not, the personal survey begins.

Apple's COVID-19 screening tool will ask you personal questions regarding your health, travel history, etc. After answering, the app will determine whether you'll need to talk to your doctor, only needs self-isolation, or just practice proper social distancing.

'For adults only': Why Apple DOESN'T have a Coronavirus tool for non-millennials

Unfortunately, if you happen to be a non-millennial or below age, you are not permitted to use Apple's COVID-19 screening tool. Why is that?

According to the website, all ages under 18 years old cannot use the Coronavirus tool. This is due to the reason that the CDC believes that younger people are less prone to acquiring viral disease. If you check the "under 18" tab on the tool, the website will lead you to CDC's website wherein it was explained why most Generation Z ages could not take the test.

As explained, "based on available evidence, children do not appear to be at higher risk for COVID-19 than adults. While some children and infants have been sick with COVID-19, adults make up most of the known cases to date."

So for now, no Gen Z allowed in here!
