According to Techspot's latest report, Iron Man VR is shaping up to be a phenomenal experience.PS4 is set to launch Marvel's Iron Man VR this summer. Sony also revealed PlayStation Studio's new look including a Marvel Studio-like intro.
The Sony-published game was experienced by content creators and other journalists first-hand at different events and was described as a true superhero stimulator.
The player will play the role of Iron Man from a first-person perspective and will use built-in repulsor blasters and the armored flight suit to face off against various threats to save the world.
Just like Iron Man did in Marvel's various comics and blockbuster films, players can adjust their flight direction, speed, and perform more maneuvers using the angle of their hands making the flight system particularly impressive.
Players will have different kinds of abilities and a variety of other iconic gadgets to play with including Iron Man's famous high powered punch and chest-mounted Unibeam attack. Sony also clarified that players can drop by Tony Stark's garage and customize his suits and adjust the aforementioned abilities to their liking.
Iron Man VR has been delayed many times beginning May 15, which was then followed by another reschedule because of logistical challenges and threats posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, Camouflaj, the game's developer, might have taken control of the ongoing issues as it announced today, May 13, that Iron Man VR will have a release date. The game will be launched to PlayStation VR Kits through PS4 this coming July 3.
Sony also said that more updates about the game will be announced in the next few weeks. Since Iron Man VR cannot be purchased yet, news about pre-order details and pricing will come.
Sony reveals PlayStation Studio's new looks Including Marvel Studios-like intro
Meanwhile, the PlayStation Studio of Sony will have a new look with a Marvel Studios-like intro. According to Polygon's previous report, a new logo will be used by Sony to simplify its branding for games developed by the Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios team. |It will also be replaced by a shorter name, PlayStation Studios.
The company revealed the branding on Tuesday, May 12, including a new animation that looks very much like the intro played by Marvel Studios in its blockbuster movies.
Sony's characters will be featured in the opening animation for PlayStation Studios games which will be reflected on the 3D version of the circle, triangle, cross, and square icons. Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn, Nathan Drake from Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Kratos from God of War and others will be included.
It was clarified that the new PlayStation branding will launch together with the Playstation 5 this coming holiday season. The games developed and managed by Sony Interactive Entertainment's Worldwide Studios will feature the new branding.
