United Airlines is currently facing a harassment lawsuit after an unnamed National Football League (NFL) player accuses co-passenger of touching his private parts. The player chose not to identify himself in the filed case. His representative, though, said that the same woman also harassed another man-- flown with the victim-- However, United seemed had a lack of action regarding the filed report.

NFL Player gets abused in United Airlines by a drunk female passenger

A United Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Newark, New Jersey, had a harassment incident between two of its passengers.

It turns out that one of the victims was an NFL player, along with his friend that was also harassed. The player, who chose not to identify himself, was flying home to New Jersey on Feb. 10. During the said flight, a woman sitting beside him suddenly touches his private parts.

The act continues to happen, which includes groping and grabbing. Aside from the harassment, the NFL player also said on the lawsuit that the woman told him that he was 'frightening' after wearing a mask inside the plane due to COVID-19. Worse, the woman even ripped the mask in front of him.

Because the man was black, he was also "fearful of the perception of being a male victim and the racial stigma of being a young African American male," since the woman was white.

He stood up and found a flight attendant to tell the problem when he can't take the harassment anymore. At this time, another John Doe 2-- flew with the victim-- said that the same woman also harassed him.

At this time, a flight attendant came over and asked the man, "Is this the same lady?" After this, the abuser was moved to another row from their seats.

Woman was 'drunk' and taken some pills during the incident

The woman that was also unidentified said that she was drunk and taken some pills during the flight.

However, the lawyers of the two complainants said that this was not an excuse to harassed anyone.

"[They were] put at unnecessary risk of harm and in many cases suffered and continue to suffer great pain of mind and body, shock, emotional distress, physical manifestations of emotional distress including depression, anxiety, humiliation, loss of enjoyment of life, and fear of flying and travel," said on the lawsuit.

ABC News reported that United Airlines already apologized for what seemed to be a 'lack of action' regarding the incident.

"The safety and well-being of our customers is always our top priority. In this instance, the customer involved was moved to a different seat. Because litigation is now pending, we're unable to provide further comment," said United Airlines.

The airlines only presented a $150 voucher on both men for the damages caused at the time.
