NetherRealm Studio's highly-anticipated Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath DLC is finally here and is available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Google Stadia after the launch trailer was revealed last year.

Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath Inclusions

The paid expansion is available for people who are ready to shell out $40 for a bunch of new content, including new fighters with new Fatalities and Brutality and an additional epilogue of the main story, which would be best viewed if you have finished the main story itself.

According to a report by CNET, the Aftermath DLC includes new characters, including RoboCop as well as Klassic fighters Fujin and Sheeva.

When it comes to the additional story, series creator Ed Boon talked with The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley and said that the expansion would include five new chapters for the epilogue, which would follow the newly ascended Liu Kang after the defeat of Kronika.

According to Boon, the DLC story would include "meatier" scenes, which means more fights.

In context, the main story has 12 chapters that Mortal Kombat 11 players could finish in around eight hours or so.

In addition, Boon said that the Aftermath characters would influence the events in the main game and even compared the epilogue to Back to the Future 2.

"Shang Tsung is the big star," the series creator said. "There's something really cool about seeing that 1995 Shang Tsung from the movie in our game."

More Fighters, Stages, and Skins

Another highly anticipated arrival is RoboCop, who will be voiced by Peter Weller, who actually played the cyborg police officer in both the 1987 and 1990 movies, which would be nostalgic for anyone who has seen and loved those movies.

Of course, RoboCop won't be a complete Mortal Kombat fighter without some Brutalities and Fatalities, and fans can sure spot some reference to the movies using his arsenal of high-tech weapons and gadgets.

Meanwhile, Fujin and Sheeva are already familiar faces to long-time fans of the franchise.

For those who have paid for the expansion pack, they would get several skins from the Eternal Klash Skin Pack that includes the "Unbound Rage" Scorpion skin, "Kori Power" Frost skin, and the "Son of Arctika" Sub-Zero skin, according to the Daily Express.

Nevertheless, those who don't have enough budget for the DLC could still get some new content for free.

Friendships and Old-Skool Stages

There will be old-school stages that you can try, such as the Dead Pool and the Soul Chamber, which came out on Mortal Kombat 2 and Mortal Kombat 3, respectively.

From the previous games, players were able to use the nasty environments of these chapters to create a new Fatality, so it's not surprising that these updated stages would do the same on Aftermath.

There is also the addition of Friendships, which fans have seen on the third game title and is basically a friendly way to end the fight without some gory brutalities and fatalities.

The Aftermath DLC alone will cost you $40, but you can also the Kombat Pack for $50 for more content. For those who don't own the game yet, they can buy both Mortal Kombat 11 and the DLC together for $60.
