Up until now, PlayStation fans still have no idea how much PS5 would be or what would be included with the next-gen console when it launches, especially for the pre-order. But thanks to dataminers, we now have an idea.

Leaked PS5 Pre-Order Details

In a report by LADBible, dataminers have found information from a newly-discovered PlayStation website and shared what they found online.

The datamined information includes the pre-order details for PS5, where and how fans could get it, and more news about the next-gen console's backward compatibility.

According to GamesRadar, the information was first published on subreddit r/GamingLeaksAndRumours by Redditor u/Kgarvey, saying that the information dataminers got suggests that only one console will be allowed per household.

"You can only purchase one version of the PS5TM Console: Disc or Digital. You have already added one PS5TM console to your cart," the error message would read if a buyer adds another console to their cart.

This could be due to the coronavirus pandemic's stock shortage, which has affected the gaming community, particularly with the production of consoles and games.

Unfortunately, the leak didn't include the console's official price, and until now, all the fans know is the speculated price point of the PS5, which might be around $500 or so.

There are also two designs, one for the Standard version and the other for the PS5 Digital Edition, which looks slimmer as it sheds the disc-drive, which would likely make it cheaper than the standard edition.

More News on Backwards Compatibility

When it comes to what is included in the PS5 pre-order, there aren't that many details, but fans are already aware that the next-gen console will be launching with some A-list games Horizon: Forbidden WestSpider-Man: Miles Morales, and Resident Evil Village.

Additionally, PlayStation has promised its followers that over 100 games from PS4 will be playable on PS5 on its launch, which is something many fans are actually worried about, especially those who haven't yet completed tons of PlayStation 4 titles.

The dataminers did find a new "PS5 Compatible" badge, which the company will most likely label any PS4 games that would also work with the new console.

However, fans aren't entirely sure which titles they could continue playing on PS5, but it seems like other titles aside from the top 100 most popular PS4 games will be made playable on PS5 after some updates.

Only From PlayStation?

It also seems that those who wanted to get their own PS5 could only pre-order from PlayStation.

This would be a huge shift for the company as they often allow pre-orders from third-party companies, but if they want to implement their "one console per household" rule strictly, this is rather understandable.

Nevertheless, Sony PlayStation might be offering more details about the new console soon enough, especially as the holidays are coming faster and with everyone wanting to know more about the highly-anticipated console and its backward compatibility, which is still confusing to many PlayStation fans.
