TikTok's Chinese controversial clone Zynn app comes back after getting banned from Android and iOS because of plagiarism. According to The Verge's latest report, the clone app received complaints about a pay-to-watch system described as a "pyramid scheme" by one media watchdog.

Zynn's reward system helped it to be at the top of app download charts earlier this year, but, many users were disappointed with the updates it has made after returning to Apple's App Store on July 16, and Google's Play Store on July 2. The app became popular because users can earn gift cards and even cash cards by signing up, referring friends, and watching videos.

The system that previously rewarded many users with cash has now been replaced with a system of "Zynncheers" points. What are Zyncheers points? Nobody knows yet, as well as its purpose, including the Zynn app. The company introduced the new system in June. The report claimed that the update of Zynn seems to have swapped the amount that cash users have accumulated but not yet redeemed for points.
"These points are a "type of credit representing community activity level," said Zynn. The app also explained that the points will provide the users "benefits". However, the information about the benefits that users can receive, and how they can redeem it is not yet disclosed.
What the social media has to say with Zynn's return
To vent out their disappointment, Zynn users have been responding to the company's posts on social media. Some of them claimed that Zyncheers system would not allow them to cash out the money they had accumulated before the app was banned.

The reviews provided by the app's users on the Google Play Store are more specific in their concern. One of the users said that the app was only downloaded by 90% of people because of the money offered.
The user also added that because of the new update, Zynn is now completely useless, saying that the company claimed that they are finding uses for Zynncheers but was not able to do so until now.
Zynn has not provided any solid update on the scheme yet. However, the company confirmed that it is working on developing Zynncheers points.
