'Zynn,' a video-sharing social media app, is now removed from Apple App Store. After Google Play Store deleted the said app on its website, the iOS store had done the same thing. However, it was removed out of nothing.

The Chinese app was accused of stealing videos originally from TikTok-- a more famous video-sharing app and put it as theirs. To make it worse, Zynn was also called a 'pyramid scheme' due to its users' money-making program.

Zynn app termed as 'TikTok copycat' now removed on App Store! Here's why

The Apple App Store has officially removed the 'Zynn' app that is now making noise as TikTok copycat.

Zynn, just like the famous TikTok, is also a Chinese video-sharing app, designed to make videos with filters and post it online. It also has likes, shares, messenger, and follow button that makes it interactive for users.

Though it has a different color interface compared to TikTok, pretty much everything about the app was handmade by the superior video-sharing app.

Due to this, Apple App Store removed the app for plagiarism against TikTok. Earlier, Google Play Store also did the same thing for the same reasons.

Zynn answers plagiarism issue

Zynn, however, thinks otherwise. The spokesperson of the app said that the plagiarism issues were only 'minor problems' that can be fixed by their team. They even called it an 'isolated incident' that both Google and Apple should understand.

"We understand this happened due to complaints raised on user-uploaded videos," said the spokesperson, referring to the app's removal from the Play Store. "This is an isolated incident that has triggered a routine investigation from Google's platform. Upon receiving the notice, we immediately removed the problematic video and blocked the user from uploading any additional videos before providing further proof of copyright."

Zynn even reiterated that the app respects the original content of video uploaders, whether through their app or TikTok. Therefore, concluding that they don't copy-paste content from other apps.

How about the issue of the 'pyramid scheme?'

Unfortunately, the issue of plagiarism was not the only issue against the app 'Zynn.' An American watchdog agency had investigated the app and called it 'pyramid scheme' available online.

If you think about it, the app has not entirely copied TikTok. Zynn offers users to earn money by watching videos and inviting friends on the app.

But, Common Sense Media believes 3VB B BBBBNthat it was not at all for fun. The app was said to be a "Pyramid scheme TikTok clone pays to recruit friends."
