"Mafia: Definitive Edition" will be revealed by 2K Games on July 22. Before you watch the whole live stream, here's a sneak-peek of how its new gameplay would be. According to VG24/7's latest report, the fans of the popular game series already had an idea of what the highly-anticipated Mafia 1 remake will provide since a 15-minute-video of preliminary Mafia: Definitive Edition gameplay footage was already posted on YouTube on July 21, showcasing new graphics, cutscenes, fresh dialogue, and more.

VG24/7 previously reported that Mafia: Definitive Edition's release date was moved from its original, which is Aug. 28, because of the challenges stemming from COVID-19.
"Though we'd originally planned to release the game one month earlier on August 28, finalizing everything in time for that launch date has become increasingly challenging due to the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic," said Hanger 13.

Hanger 13 also added that compromising the quality of fans' experience will be the last thing they want. Mafia's game developer said that since the project has been a passion for them, many of the company's developers are committed to creating an update that will improve the game experience for the time classic game fans.
"We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make Mafia: Definitive Edition the very best it can be for all of our fans worldwide," added Mafia's developer.

The latest video hasn't been released yet. However, VG24/7 was able to provide some idea of what will the new gameplay be like. Mafia: Definitive Edition's most polarizing mechanics will be revamped. The update will prevent the police from penalizing the players for every little thing they do during the game.

The report also suggested checking the game's early trailer to have an idea of what Mafia: Definitive Edition will mainly focus on. Additionally, Mafia 2 and Mafia 3 will also have their own Definitive Edition. A Mafia: Trilogy collection will also be released for those new players who want to play the game for the first time.
Players who already own a copy of Mafia 2 and Mafia 3 will be automatically upgraded to the Definitive Editions without any fee. However, only Mafia 3 will be upgraded to those people who use PS4 or Xbox One. Mafia 1 remake was also rescheduled and now set to be released on Sept. 25.
