League of Legend's new OP 'Sona-Lux' bot-lane meta was destroyed by T1 after they defeated SB, taking their 9th match victory. According to the latest report of Inven Global, in day 33 of 2020 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) summer split, two teams, T1 and DAMWON Gaming, showed off dominance by winning against the SANDBOX Gaming and Hanwha Life Esports respectively, ending the day without any disappointments.

Although HLE tried to take the win by shaking things up, subbing different rookie players like Cad and Yeongjae, DWG, a team that continues to perform better day by day, was just too powerful for them to handle. DWG was able to take a landslide victory against HLE.

After DWG's powerful performance, they were able to get +20 points in the standings. They are now sitting at 11-2 after defeating HLE. DWG was able to continue to threaten the 1st place spot in the standings since they have 5 points lead against the number one team in LCK. The first-place team, DRX, only has one win discrepancy against DWG.

Currently, DWG has the potential to break SKT 1's record of having +29 points on the regular season, if they can take 2:0 victories in all their upcoming matches, that would give them +30 points.

How SB's Sona-Lux bot was defeated

T1 continued to climb their standing in LCK after defeating SB 2:0. The victorious team was surprisingly lead by their rookie mid-laner, Clozer, who started the game with a quite superb performance against SB.

SB used their OP Sona-Lux bot lane tandem in game 1, which became popular in the LCS and LEC. Dexerto reported that Sona ADC (Attack Damage Carry) is becoming a popular meta in the summoners rift.

However, this time, Sona will be paired with another mage champion, Lux. The OP tandem starting appearing on League of Legends Patch 10.14 and was made powerful by the Spellthief's buff on Patch 10.15. It quickly spread around the world, which started on EU West with Challenger Sona one-trick pony "Schuhbart."

However, this new powerful tandem was destroyed on the 33rd day of LCK, and it looked like the players were inexperienced with the two mage champions during the match. T1, on the other hand, was able to get the composition they wanted to dominate the game. Game 2 was also in favor of T1 after Cuzz's Rek'sai was able to roam the map easily, getting every free kill it sees in the summers rift. After T1 2:0 standing, they are now behind the top three teams of the Summer split, leaving behind the 5th place team, Afreeca Freecs.
