The United Nations had given a warning about possible nuclear devices developed by North Korea.

In the latest report, North Korea is currently accused of developing nuclear devices that can fit in ballistic missiles. In a confidential UN report, some countries claimed that North Korea has possibly created miniaturized nuclear devices since it is working on its nuclear weapons program.

The mini nuclear devices might be used in warheads of the country's ballistic missiles. An independent panel of experts, which monitors U.N. sanctions, provided a report saying that several countries, which the identities were not disclosed, believe that North Korean developed the miniaturized nuclear devices with the help of its past six nuclear tests.

However, the report confirmed that there was no nuclear test conducted by Pyongyang since September 2017.

"The Democratic People's Republic of Korea is continuing its nuclear program, including the production of highly enriched uranium and construction of an experimental light water reactor," wrote the confidential U.N. report.

"A member state assessed that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is continuing production of nuclear weapons," added the report.

This is not the first time North Korea was accused of nuclear weapons

The report explained that it is not the first time that experts warned about North Korea's mission in miniaturizing nuclear warheads. In 2017, the regime was also accused of developing a technology that could produce the atomic warheads, by a leaked United States intelligence assessment.

It was claimed that the warheads are small enough to fit inside missiles, which could give North Korea the ability to target distant countries, including the U.S., by sending nuclear-armed intercontinental ballistic missiles. Japan's 2019 defense white paper also believed that North Korea's military build-up might pose a real and imminent threat.

One of the anonymous country in the UN report said that the regime might continue to develop the miniaturization process. This would allow North Korea to incorporate technology improvements such as penetration aid packages or, possibly, to create multiple warhead systems.
