There are many cases of social gatherings and parties in Los Angeles, California, since the lockdown was implemented. In order to teach citizens a lesson, L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti announced a punishment that they can't resist to happen. Are you still willing to party?

Here's the punishment once caught partying in L.A.

On July 14, famous Youtuber Jake Paul held a huge party in the middle of Coronavirus pandemic, in one of his places at Los Angeles city of Calabasas.

Alicia Weintraub, mayor of the city, was 'outraged' when the news popped out. One of the COVID-19 regulations is to stop all social gatherings and parties at all times, to protect everyone from too much crowd, which could result in virus spread.

Unfortunately, Paul was not the only one. Other popular Youtubers like Tana Mongeau, James Charles, Charli D'Amelio, Emma Chamberlain, and others are also caught in a party during the quarantine.

To solve this problem, L.A. Garcetti has a plan. All houses that will conduct parties and social gatherings will be punished for cutting down their power and water supply.

What will happen?

In a Business Insider report, Garcetti said on Wednesday, Aug. 5, that the rule will be implemented starting on Friday, Aug. 7.

"Starting on Friday night, if LAPD responds and verifies that a large gathering is occurring at a property, and we see these properties offending time and time again, they will provide notice and initiate the process to request that DWP shut off service within the next 48 hours," warns Garcetti.

The regulation is targeted to people that are "determined to break the rules, posing significant public dangers and a threat to all of us."

Even first-time offenders will be facing the same punishment. However, it may also hold off once people still repeatedly violate the social-distancing rules.

Though it did not mention that the rule is meant for all the Youtubers and TikTokers who partied these past weeks, it was apparent where the regulation was referred to.

'We need to follow rules'

Garcetti warns the regular citizens also to stop inviting people over their houses. Once it happened, it could cause "unsafety and cost Angelenos their lives."

He also reminded everyone to follow the rule and put the economy and the lives of all citizens in the right place. As of now, Aug. 6, the number of positive cases in the city is over 500,000, while death counts to nearly 10,000 people.

Maybe, a tough hand is what L.A. needs right now.
