Uncle Roger became an internet sensation after previously taking down Hersha Patel, the woman who was featured by BBC cooking egg fried rice in the "wrong" way according to Uncle Roger. Now, Uncle Roger takes the spotlight again bashing a world-famous chef known as Jamie Oliver for cooking Egg Fried Rice.
Why is Uncle Roger so Popular?
The reason why Uncle Roger is extremely popular is the way he reacted to Hersha Patel. Although the YouTuber already had a significant following, his fanbase grew when he was not holding back in giving comments about how the cook featured on BBC would cook the egg fried rice.
One thing that really broke him down was the way the rice was not washed, and even put under running water in a colander after cooking. Uncle Roger's disappointed reaction to the rice has sparked a popular worldwide following as most people, especially other Asians, took his side.
One thing that got a huge Asian fanbase is when Uncle Roger suggested measuring the water in the rice using a finger instead of using a measuring cup. This is one of the most culturally shared lifehacks amongst most Asians.

Uncle Roger immediately goes after for Jamie Oliver after taking a look for 2 seconds because of his decision not to use a Wok. The YouTuber strongly expresses how important having a Wok is expressing that Jamie Oliver already has 25 cookbooks but does not use Wok in basic egg fried rice.
Another thing that ticked the YouTuber off was Jamie Oliver's mention that this dish could be a side dish when in most traditional Asian cultures, egg fried rice is already the main dish. The YouTuber jokingly says that he would be "beaten to death."

What else did Jamie Oliver do wrong according to the YouTuber?
The next thing that Uncle Rojer called out was the chef's choice to use olive oil over vegetable oil which is more popularly used for this dish. According to the YouTuber, olive oil is white people oil and it should not be used for Asian dishes.
After putting in olive oil, Jamie Oliver chooses to put in the spring onions which the YouTuber reacted saying that these are garnishes and should be put in last. Although these call-outs were quite big, none of them compared to the next "mistake" the chef made according to Uncle Roger.
The next thing that Jamie Oliver did was take out a pack of precooked rice which according to Uncle Roger is something you should never do if you want good quality rice!
There are still a lot of things that Uncle Roger called out and to top the cherry, the YouTuber even called out Jamie Oliver's choice to use chili jam, something which is not Asian at all, in comparison to Sriracha which is a popular Asian chili sauce.
