Electronic Arts' The Sims 4 has a new expansion coming, and it's the perfect downloadable content for Star Wars fans with the inclusion of new items and costumes, such as lightsabers and, of course, Stormtroopers.

The Sims 4 Newest Expansion

By now, those who are awaiting its release already know what they could expect more or less from the expansion, which is called Star Wars: Journey to Batuu, which will bring players to the Black Spire Outpost in the planet Batuu, something that long-time fans of the franchise would be familiar with.

To keep the hype going and excite Sims and Star Wars fans further, EA has also released a new trailer for the expansion, showing off the unique gameplay wherein players will have to pick a side, including the First Order, the resistance, and the "scoundrels," as per GameSpot.

There are also a bunch of Star Wars-themed missions to spice up your gaming experience, and the trailer shows a few of what you can do.

What's more is that players can customize their droids, and the trailer also shows how they can do it, along with a preview of some of the iconic musical pieces from the franchise.

Of course, you can also customize your own lightsaber since the whole Star Wars experience will not be complete without one.

Fans may also see a couple of familiar faces: Kylo Ren and Rey.

Garnering Mixed Reactions

However, before anyone gets a little too excited, the planet Batuu is only a destination, meaning players won't be able to inhabit and stay at the planet, according to ScreenRant.

But if there's any consolation, the items you'll get are yours to keep forever and bring home to your in-game house.

Nevertheless, the news outlet also reported that some fans aren't exactly happy with the Sims 4 expansion, expressing that they wanted a few elements added to the game, but none of them has anything to do with Star Wars.

Based on the report, many in the Sims community feel that their voices are unheard, despite EA promising they are listening to player feedback, especially as their top choices in the official EA survey earlier this year did not really come into fruition.

Moreover, many are not a fan of the franchise, so the expansion pack doesn't entice them.

Despite the negative reactions from the other half of the Sims community, many are still excited for the Star Wars-themed fun and are ready to spend their time exploring Batuu.

Pre-Order Star Wars: Journey to Batuu

The Sims 4 expansion will be available on Sept. 8, but you can already pre-order a bundle for PS4 and Xbox One via Amazon, which is available for $39.99.

The bundle already includes the base game and the expansion, so it's perfect for new players who don't have a copy of the game yet, allowing them to save.

If you already have the base game installed, you can pick up the expansion when it comes out for $20.
