In a sort of attempt to improve the whole input experience for the average Windows 10 user, Microsoft is now rolling out a new significant update for other Windows Insiders included in the informationally abundant dev channel.

The most recent Windows Insider update brings out improvements to the whole platform's touch keyboard. Other updates include the brand new voice typing experience, which also includes a whole enhanced emoji picker and even more features.

Touch keyboard design improvement

Microsoft is now rolling out a brand new design for the touch keyboard for the latest Windows Insider update. The new and improved design offers a really fresh aesthetic that also brings a few tweaks here and there that include the updated key sizes along with the layouts for much better typing accuracy and comfort.

The brand new design brings to the table different refinements just like the new keypress sounds and animations. These are all optimized for the Child keys in order to provide quicker entry. There's also a new button that actually unlocks the keyboard.

The improvements also include emojis, a GIF search support, settings menu, and also a brand new typing button. The new touch keyboard will be able to invoke on just about any PC from the simple touch of the keyboard button located on the taskbar. The setting has to be enabled first.

This update also includes a brand new feature that permits users to control the whole cursor movement with the simple use of the spacebar. Imagine that! Users will finally be able to control the whole cursor position by simply placing their finger on the basic spacebar and slowly sliding it in different directions to move this cursor.

The next level Windows Voice Typing

This update rolls out the new and improved version of the Windows dictation known as the Windows voice typing. This allows users to type without much effort by using their voice simply. The new enhanced Voice Typing experience does include the more modern design that is optimized for the touch keyboards, an updated back end for better and more reliable voice typing experience, and also auto-punctuation support.

Users will now be able to begin voice typing using the simple Win+H shortcut on the keyboard or by simply touching the latest Microsoft button you'll see on the touch keyboard. The feature is also available in 14 different languages and functions by automatically selecting the language that is based on the language being used. The auto-punctuation feature, however, is not available for Japanese.

Other updates

The updated Emoji Picker for the Windows 10 gives it a fresher look helping the Windows 10 Insider Preview that brings support for additional languages, kaomoji, and even other symbols. This also includes an inline search box along with animated GIF support.
