Carlo Acutis, a particular Italian teenager is now set for beatification or being declared "blessed this coming October 10. Pope Francis himself has approved the whole beatification back in February while attributing a miracle to the Acutis' intercession that happened after the actual healing of a typically young Brazilian boy that was afflicted with a sort of rare congenital disease located in his pancreas.

Ahead of the whole ceremony, Acutis' own body was then put on display for the whole public veneration at the known Church of Santa Maria Maggiore located in Assisi, Italy. Upon the actual opening of the tomb, the known body of Acutis was then seen wearing just a simple jacket, sneakers, jeans, and tracks. This was an attire he was known for when he was alive.

Who is Carlo Acutis?

Acutis was raised in Milan and only died when he was 15 years old of leukemia back in 2006 and the church believed that he had a great love for both God and the poor since his young age. Just before his death, it was said that he offered his own suffering to both the Church and the pope.

The Vatican even quoted his statement saying he is happy to die because he has lived his life without ever wasting a minute doing anything that is "unpleasing to God". For those who don't know, Beatification is the process of the Catholic Church to recognize that a deceased follower was able to live a holy life.

Carlos was known to "exhibit" a special bond with God at a very young age stated by ABS CBN. According to the information about him, he went to Mass daily and also spent a good amount of time before the tabernacle and was a devout Catholic.

Amidst this, it was said that he still remained a typical young boy who loved to play football, video games, and also be with his friends at school. It was also noted that he was a genius according to certain adults and peers with computer engineering degrees showing a great deal of interest in film and comic editing as well as layout.

He even created a website cataloging the known Eucharist miracles that happened around the world.

Just how much of a "gamer" was he?

Although his favorite games of choice have not yet been reported, it was known that he was an avid fan of PlayStation 2. He was also an avid fan of Pokemon just like most kids his age were. Apparently, he was into what most kids his age were into and was playing almost the same games as well.

His avid love for video games was not matched by his "love for the church" and although unorthodox, the special case of his beatification showed how a typical teenage boy could possibly become a saint.
