Apple unveiled four new models of iPhone 12 during a virtual presentation on Tuesday, October 13, with price ranging between $700 and $1,100.
The new iPhone 12 features a 6.1-inch display and starts at almost $800 while the 5.4-inch-display iPhone 12 Mini is priced at about $700. The iPhone 12 Pro bears more powerful cameras at a higher price of around $1,000 while buyers would need to pay about $1,100 to get 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Apple Begins Pre-Order for iPhone 12
With great promises for the new iPhone, thousands have already signed up to get pre-approvals, so they can easily pre-order either an iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro before it hits the market on October 23. However, there are some ways to get the iPhone for a much lower price or and even for free.
How to get iPhone 12 for free
Major carriers like AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile are offering some deals to allow customers to get the new iPhone 12 for free or at a really low price.
Verizon and T-Mobile offer deep discounts for iPhone owners. For new customers, T-Mobile gives $850 trade-in credit for the iPhone 11 Pro or 10 XS while existing customers can only earn trade-in values from $200 to $500. Verizon also gives new customers up to $800 trade-in value for their iPhone X or newer while existing customers with eligible data plans can trade in the same models and get an iPhone 12, but they would need to pay $15 monthly for 24 months.
How to get iPhone 12 for free
Meanwhile, AT&T gives out better deal, so customers can avail the iPhone 12 for free. With an $800 trade-in, both existing and new customers who trade in iPhone 8 and newer can get the new iPhone. However, they would need to sign up for an unlimited data plan for 30 months.
While customers can get pre-orders as soon as October 16, shipping of orders for the iPhone 12 and iPhone Pro will begin on October 23. Meanwhile, the iPhone Mini and iPhone Pro Max will be released on November 13.
For those who will be trading in their old units, it is important to back up the data before trading them in to avoid any security or privacy concern.

Meanwhile, some consumers may get annoyed by Apple's decision not to include charging adapters for the new phones, so it will mean smaller boxes to ship. However, buyers can get power adapters for about $20 and $50, depending on their charging speed.
