NASA will announce discoveries about the Lunar Moon that the Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA), a modified Boeing 747, uncovered at a media conference next week Monday. NASA is inviting everyone to witness new Moon Discoveries this 2020 in a live stream event.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has made new 'exciting' discoveries that will bring light to certain mysteries surrounding Earth's very own natural satellite, the Moon. NASA's study on the lunar surface never ceased despite landing on the Moon in 1969 on the Apollo 11 mission

According to NASA's press release, SOFIA discovered something new about the Moon that brings exciting facts and knowledge that was never before known by Earth's citizens. The discovery was under the efforts of learning something new from the lunar object under the NASA Artemis project.

NASA's Artemis is an effort by the space agency to send the first woman and next man on the Moon's surface by 2024. The effort is to deeply understand the ancient celestial heavens who still holds one of the biggest mysteries about the universe's existence.

The Artemis missions will soon help and contribute to NASA's more in-depth space probe of Earth's neighbor, the Red Planet Mars. The space agency aims to send humans to the last terrestrial planet on the Solar System by 2030, far from the Perseverance missions this year.

NASA's SOFIA: Moon Discovery Livestream, How to Watch?

New scientific and astronomical data from the Moon were uncovered by NASA using the unconventional observatory hybrid, SOFIA. The space agency is inviting everyone to witness what the Moon has hidden for a long time, only being discovered by NASA this 2020 with SOFIA help.

NASA's Astrophysics Division director, Paul Hertz, would lead the space agency's briefing and announcement. Hertz would be accompanied by Jacob Bleacher, the chief exploration scientist for the Human Exploration and Operations Mission Directorate, Cassey Honniball from NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, and Naseem Rangwala, a project scientist for the SOFIA Mission.

The space agency is inviting everyone at 12 noon Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on Monday, October 26. The teleconference audio would be widely available for home viewers through NASA's live stream on their website

According to CNet, NASA has been investigating and allocating resources to discovering more of the Moon's ice water in the lunar south pole. NASA spent a great deal of time and effort to know more about the ice water found on the Moon.

The water could be the space agency's discovery, enabling a more extensive scope of study on the Moon. This discovery may help prolong space study on the lunar surface, having a potential water source in the Moon.

What is the SOFIA Observatory?

NASA's SOFIA is a modified Boeing 747 aircraft made to fly higher than the Earth's atmosphere and observe the celestial heavens. SOFIA holds a 9 feet telescope on its body as it flies around, giving a clear view of space and the Solar System.

Despite flying in the highly vaporous atmosphere, SOFIA' can see the heavenly bodies using infrared imaging through wavelengths, picking up more images that cannot be seen through visible light.
