Epic Game's "Fortnite" is forging a collaboration with CPU maker Intel to offer players an exclusive Splash Squadron Set bundle, including the Surf Strider skin. The news was first leaked on Twitter by reliable leaker Shiina which now becomes more apparent with the release of a promotional image with some important release date details.

On Twitter, leaker Shiina said that the new collaboration will include a glider and a pickaxe. It will also provide buyers access to more than 10 apps including Photo Director, Magix's Vegas, and Corel's Multi-Cam Capture.

Fortnite Splash Squadron Set

When is the release? The release date is not yet known. A promotional image however states that players can claim the offer by March 31, 2021.

Hence, Realsport, says that the promo could kick off in the next few days, especially that Black Friday is fast approaching.

Intel website says that players who buy one of the qualifying Intel processors starting November 2 to Feb 28, 2021 can claim the offer. You also have until March 30 to submit your redemption form. Note that you can only claim the offer until the 31st of March.

How to redeem or claim

In order to claim the skin and the bundle, you have to buy a qualifying Intel CPU, mostly from the 9th and 10th gen. Those include CPUS from the i3 to i9 10900KF.

Follow these steps as outlined by GameRiv.

1. Log on to softwareoffer.intel.com. Use your credentials to log into or if you're a first time user, create an account. Make sure to read the Terms and Conditions.

2. Click on Redeem Offer. Instructions will pop up and you only have to complete them to verify the claim.

3. Indicate the stock keeping unit (SKU) for the Intel device you bought. You will receive an on-screen notification confirming the eligibility of your SKU selection.

4. Download and install the Intel HST (Hardware Scanning Tool).

5. The HST will notify you on-screen whether your device meets the qualifying requirements of the offer.

6. You will receive an email confirming that the offer has been successfully unlocked.

7. Accept and agree to the offer's T&Cs to confirm.

8. You will be redirected to a mandatory survey regarding your purchase.

9. Follow redemption instructions.

10. Claim the "Fortnite" Splash Squadron bundle for free as you log into the game. You will also receive an Intel software bundle worth $500.
